Is the Darren sofa suitable for large living rooms?
The Darren is the largest convertible in the range, with widths from 205 cm (2.5-seater) to 245 cm (3.5-seater). When extended, its depth reaches 217 cm, offering a spacious sleeping area that can accommodate a mattress up to 180 cm wide, a rare dimension for a convertible sofa. Its 60s-inspired design with rounded curves elegantly fills the space without appearing massive. Its weight of 135 kg attests to the solidity of its structure. Allow at least 220 cm of clearance in front of the sofa for comfortable bed deployment.
What mattress widths are available for the Darren?
The Darren offers the widest range of widths in the catalog: 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, and 180 cm. This versatility allows it to serve as both an occasional bed at 80 cm and a true double bed at 180 cm. The slatted base is included as standard, and the mechanism is CATAS certified for daily use. The 13 cm thick mattress can be replaced by a Grand Confort model available in-store. To determine the optimal width for your use, a consultation with an advisor is recommended.
Is the Darren sofa easy to deliver to an apartment on an upper floor?
Depending on the model, it is possible to remove the armrests and/or backrest to facilitate passage; the sofa is delivered in 3 packages. For the 3.5-seater version, the largest package measures 250 x 17 x 112 cm, an elongated but narrow format that fits through most stairwells. The other two packages measure 201 x 37 x 42 cm and 188 x 58 x 112 cm, respectively. It is important to check the ceiling height of your landings and the width of your entrance door before ordering. Delivery takes 6 to 8 weeks, a timeframe that includes custom manufacturing according to your fabric choice.
